I’m baaaaaaaack.
Some people have asked where I have been. I appreciate the concern. To be honest, it’s just been a busy month or so. What with taking care of Piper and the litany of chores, I simply haven’t had time to write. Or at least not the way I want to write. I tend to be a perfectionist and don’t like to half-ass things. So maybe some of it was an I’ll-just-take-my-ball-and-go-home kind of attitude.
At any rate, now we are on the cusp of a whole new situation (or silly-ation, as Piper would say). She is in preschool now; today is her second day. I’ll get more into that in later posts. Although school will be part-time, that opens up a whole new myriad of possibilities for me. A new schedule means a whole new ballgame. So in anticipation of this new silly-ation, maybe it’s time for a reboot of the blog. Five Things 2.0, if you will.
What does this mean? Nothing really. Just more inane blathering. Maybe a little less parenting talk, as I focus more on writing and doing something with my life. So: writing, creativity, complaining, parenting, and more. And as always, I will be trying to do five things at once.

Enjoy preschool, it goes fast and keep a close eye on her, she’s about to blossom before your eyes π
The Hunger Games series is pretty great, I got my husband to start reading them a while ago too. It’s nice to be able to talk books with him.

Thanks, it’s good to be back. And yes, talking books is great. More couples should be doing that.

Glad to see you’re back, Jeff! Looking forward to reading more. And congrats to Piper (and you) on her new preschool status. I pimped you out a couple of weeks ago. I hope you saw some increased traffic during that time. If not, sorry, I tried. I don’t have that far a reach yet, I’m afraid.

Thanks, and also thanks on Piper’s behalf. Any exposure is greatly appreciated. And I’m sure your reach is awesome.

Good to see you, Kalley. Well, we’re just getting started. One thing is for sure, I like having time for GTD (getting things done).

Yay! Jeff! Your! Back! My inspiration! Keep writing you super dad, you. Had a great time seeing Amy and meeting lil’ Piper. She buttered me all up, and I’m seriously in love. LOL. Maycee even survived some deep-seated (not) jealously, and at the end of the day, every puzzle done looked terrific, ha, ha. Preschool is THE BEST. I miss it so much, myself, and this “bigger kid” stuff (coming up to second grade), well, I’m kinda getting used to it. Hugs!!

So much morE, in fact, a capital “E” was required to show the more-ness of it!

Woah, your back! Good to see you. I’ve been wondering about you, too. I thought you might be focusing on your writing. Totally understand the “half-assing” it… Reminds me of my husband. He blogged for a while, but he put so much of himself into it that it took up too much time. So, he had to abandon it… Sad as he’s a much better writer than I.
Question: Hunger games? Really!? I read the first one and flew through it. Enjoyed the premise. But, the writing. BL-EH. It probably reminded me too much of what I might write… juvenile. No real mystery. Over explained. Nothing for the reader to figure out. Indicative of juvfiction or just bad writing? I started the second (my book club is reading it). I just can’t get into it. The whole over-dramatic love triangle… Reminds me of junior high. Ya, yah, it’s juvenile fiction. But, why all the adult buzz? Love to hear your take on it.
